SamayVidya is the study of day and night - these being the broadest visible divisions of time signified by the Surya, multiples of which gives weeks ,months, years and It treats the effects of the good and bad deeds of an individual in his previous birth ; so that the moment a person is born, it becomes his lot to enjoy or suffer certain pleasures or pain for his past good/bad deeds.

Every Birth is a part of some great cosmic mission. SamayVidya imbibes the astronomical principles and data and further goes beyond them to throw light on the hidden secrets of life and unveiling the Past ,present and future of the native.

Once Sage Parashara said to Satyavati -''You were not born just to get the passengers across the river, history is waiting for you. But for this, the seed of knowledge needs to sprout from your womb. The heavy burden of the history of India (Bharat Vansh) is going to fall on your tender shoulders. That is why it is your duty to become worthy of it and also your religion''.

''From today onwards it is my responsibility to answer every question of your life and thereafter Satyavati Gave birth to a robust and brilliant son on an island who later came to be known as Ved Vyas. As soon as he was born, he showed the qualities of a precocious child. As he came of age he left his mother to return to her many years later as the most dignified scholar of the earth of his era.

This signifies that the Visionary Sage parashar Ji was aware of the Time of nisheka (Conception) that such an hour (time) for Nisheka had approached so he joined Satyavati in an island on the Yamuna River and the issue was the great VedVyas.

The iconic ''I'm the immortal time'' (मैं समय हूँ). I was born along with the universe ,I was there earlier in previous yugas, I'm here now and will be present in all eras to come'' is the basic of Samayvidya; Ved Vyas was aware of all the Kaals/Times (past, present, future); With his divine eye, he had witnessed everything.

Ved Vyas ji then composed Mahabharata to propagate the principles of dharma, arth, kaam and moksha and That's why a divine (दैविक) vidya (विद्या) to study about the past ,present and Future is named as SamayVidya (समय विद्या).

Hence Samay Vidya/JyotishVidya is an inalienable part of the Sanatan dharma and also its reliance as a spiritual energy emanating from the Vedic deities.
