PITRA DOSH REMEDIES

Pitra Dosh is an inheritance of karmic debt of the family line and you have to accept it, whether or not you want to.

Pitra Dosh is generally interpreted as the curse of ancestors. If Pitra Dosh is formed in your horoscope it does not mean that your Pitras (Ancestors) are cursing you; it means that your Pitras are themselves cursed by virtue of their bad karmas. A part of this curse or karmic debt has been forwarded to you.

The given remedy can be done if one has Pitra Dosh or one who didn't perform his/her pitar shanti properly or one who's moon is placed in Ketu's nakshatra (esp. Magha)

REMEDY On any Somvati Amavasya Day (When there is amavasya and also Monday) go to any of the peepal tree, offer one Janeu to the tree and one to Lord Vishnu. Pray to the tree and Lord Vishnu and ask for forgiveness.

Then do parikrama of the tree at least 11 times, with each parikrama offer a sweet (Laddu) to the tree .

While Doing parikrama chant the Mantra ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय नमः |

Post Puja don't collect the offered sweets, just return home, Please Make sure you are not disturbing if any crow or any dog eats those laddus. *For More clarity on Shri Vishnu PranPratistha (प्राण-प्रतिष्ठा ) please consult the Vedic Pandit/scholar and the given practices can be done under guidance of a Vedic Purohit.

Please note that as per Taiterriye Samhita - मघा नक्षत्रं पितरो देवता I Means Magha is the Nakshatra of Pitrus and hence on this day reverential prayers to the ancestors can be given by offering prayers to Lord Surya by chanting the mantra ॐ पितृभ्यः स्वधायिभ्यः स्वधा नमः l and feeding the Brahmins and performing Annadanam.

Annadanam(अन्नदानम) is one of the five great yagnas in human life.
